Asta completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa in the English Common Law program. Throughout her time at uOttawa, Asta developed a keen interest in oral advocacy and legal education through her work in the Community Legal Education division at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. Additionally, Asta enjoyed building connections between law students, and did so through her executive role in the Allies in the Law mentorship program and as a mentor to first year law students. She also was part of the uOttawa law school’s annual musical theatre production in her final year of law school, where she was part of the ensemble for Mean Girls the Musical. Before law school, Asta earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with a minor in French from Carleton University. 

Prior to starting at the firm, Asta spent many years working on Parliament Hill gaining hands-on legislative and parliamentary experience, first serving as a Page and subsequently as Deputy Chief Page as part of the Senate Page Program, and then working as a political staffer while completing her law degree. 

During her free time, Asta likes to play music with friends and family, watch Formula 1, and do crafts.
