Zlata summered with McCague Borlack in 2024 and has now returned as an articling student after graduating cum laude from the Dual JD program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy.
With a passion for advocacy and litigation, Zlata has competed in moot court competitions across Canada and the United States. She also served as President of the Transnational Law Moot Court Competition, where she organized a one-of-a-kind cross-border competition between the United States and Canada. In addition, Zlata was President of Women and the Law, spearheading initiatives to raise funds for a scholarship supporting women pursuing legal careers. Her clinical experience includes volunteering with both the Michigan Veterans Law Clinic and Windsor Community Legal Aid.
Before law school, Zlata earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and built her own personal training business, an experience that strengthened her dedication to helping others and inspired her to pursue a career in law.
Fluent in Russian, Zlata enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures, and experiencing the local food wherever she goes.
