Rob Lilly practices civil litigation with an emphasis on employment law, subrogation and insurance defence. In his subrogation and insurance practice, Rob’s primary focus areas include personal injury, construction, property, human rights, transportation law, occupiers’ liability, product liability, professional negligence and coverage.
Before joining McCague Borlack LLP as an associate in February 2010, Rob worked at our CLC affiliate insurance defence firm in Vancouver. Rob was called to the British Columbia bar in 2008, after completing his articles at a major full service Vancouver firm.
He has assisted senior counsel in complex litigation matters before the British Columbia and Ontario courts. Rob has also appeared on behalf of clients before administrative tribunals, the British Columbia Provincial and Supreme Court and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Rob graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts (Dean's List) in 2004 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2007. In law school, he represented numerous clients with a variety of needs through the school's clinical law program.
Rob is a member of the British Columbia Bar and the Ontario Bar. He is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association.
