Carmen practices civil litigation with a focus on commercial litigation and insurance litigation issues including the areas of employment law, bankruptcy and insolvency, construction law, property loss, subrogation and environmental matters. Carmen has also worked in the intellectual property field and has had exposure to matters involving trademarks and copyright.

Carmen has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Human Rights Commission, and the Workplace Safely and Insurance Board, as well as various other boards and tribunals
